International Comedy Festival, Slow Clap are presenting Truth for one week only as part of the Melbourne Fringe.
In this follow-up to last year’s smash hit, the heartwarming alternative comedy The Hermitude of Angus, Ecstatic, Slow Clap present another full-throttle mix of storytelling, character comedy and dance.
Employing his signature style of narrative physical comedy, multi-award winning performer Vachel Spirason stars in this fast-paced production that combines yarn-spinning, lunacy and disco. Co-Created by multi-award winning theatre-maker Stephanie Brotchie, Truth is a must-see this fringe.

No Lights No Lycra’s performance inspired by The Dance Plague of 1518
The Dancing Plague (or Dance Epidemic) of 1518 was a case of dancing mania that occurred in Strasbourg, Alsace (then part of the Holy Roman Empire) in July 1518. Numerous people took to dancing for days without rest, and, over the period of about one month, some of the people died from heart attack, stroke, or exhaustion.

Dance Class
Tonight No Lights hits Flinders Street Station’s Campbell Arcade for Dance Class, a three hour-long extravaganza as part of Melbourne Music Week. Everybody’s favourite urban thoroughfare will be transformed from 6 until 9 into a subterranean dance palace where No Lights dance mavens can shake their thing for free.
Aside from the traditional No Lights dancing in the dark, DJs will be dropping jams and the arcade’s famous array of shops will be open late. No Lights will be in overdrive as all our regular participants join newbies for over an hour and a half of dancing in the dark.
As usual you can expect the extended playlist to contain dance tunes that span genres and decades. Don’t miss the electric atmosphere of festivities in this historic underground corridor.
